A YEAR OF GREAT SHOWS!!

Firstly a huge thank-you to EVERYONE that came and cheered us on at our performances during 2011! There were many highlights throughout the year, but really the most exciting aspect of it all was meeting a whole new audience of music lovers, as well as seeing many of our dear friends that have been supporting us since the beginning days of Shanghai 1930. It’s a great thrill that this music we generate is reaching such a wide audience, and we thank you all sincerely for helping to spread the word of Disley!

Some of the years highlights include the very successful Brubeck & Guaraldi Tribute shows at The Douglas Beach House, the Filoli Gardens Jazz Series, Yoshi’s San Francisco, the Sonoma Plaza, the Piedmont Piano Company, the Musically Minded Academy, the Yoshi’s San Francisco Jazzcracker performance, and the San Jose Jazz concert at the Hotel St Claire, and Jardiniere at New Years Eve.

We also had many wonderful solo piano dates at the Miramar, Cetrella, the Four Seasons, Sheba Piano Lounge, Pier 23, the Big Four, the Lodge at Sonoma, Crab Landing, the Bottle Cap, as well as Trio dates at Hillstone, the Oak City Bar & Grill, the San Jose Hilton, the Burritt Room, the Bistro Sonoma, the Iron Gate, and Ana Mandara.

It has been an amazing year here at Disleyworld and we thank you all for helping make it so! Here’s to an even better, fun-filled musical 2012!

 A HUGE thank-you to EVERYONE that came and cheered us on at our JAZZ NUTCRACKER performances of the 2011 season!

Being fortunate enough to have been accepted into a youth music school in my formulative years in London, it was a thrill to see the enthusiasm of the young musicians in the audience at the Musically Minded Academy for our Jazz Nutcracker Show December 3rd!  Musically Minded Academy is a rare gem in these days of music tuition cuts across the board, so we very much appreciate them for being there! Our San Francisco Yoshi’s Show was also a resounding success thanks to the fabulous showing from our many impassioned supporters!  It was such fun for the musicians on stage to feel the enthusiasm of the audience – thank you everyone that came and cheered us on! With a new captain at the helm of Yoshi’s (Eric Hanson), we hope he is made aware of our past successes.  We look forward to our Yoshi’s dates in 2012.
